DISTILLED: “World Whiskey Pairing” – Whiskey Tasting and Food Pairing presentation by Ben Anderson Luxury Spirit Specialist and Chef David Welch from Food Hedz World Cafe

Join us for the Keystone Neighbourhood “Distilled” Speaker and Spirits Series on Saturday, February 11th!  “DISTILLED” shakes, blends, and introduces educational topics of interest to our mountain community from experts in the industry.  Jim Beam and Chef David Welch pair to deliver a unique twist to a whiskey dinner. Eat and drink your way through five small plate stations, each matched with a whiskey tasting.  The World Whiskey event’s menu items include mouthwatering items like “York Town” Seafood of shrimp & bay scallops with shallots, garlic, Jim Beam, tomatoes, scallions & cream over Ditalini pasta along with hearty items like BBQ beef brisket and pork ribs. How does chicken sate with a whiskey peanut sauce sound? Come find out for yourself. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate.  Come out for a night of spirited education and food tasting at Warren Station on Saturday, February 11th.

Food & Whiskey Pairing Menu presented by Food Hedz Catering and Chef David Welch:

Chicken Sate with Jim Beam Black Bourbon Peanut Sauce

Jim Beam Black: Beam uses a distinct yeast strain that is known for having a nutty quality

Honey Hibiki Harmony Whiskey Wheat Bread Baguettes with a Garden Salad

Hibiki Harmony (Japanese Whiskey): This is a clean, medium bodied and slightly spicy whiskey that works well with salad courses as well as fruit or vegetables

York Town” Seafood of Shrimp & Bay Scallops with Laphroaig Scotch & Cream over Ditalini Pasta

Laphroaig Quarter Cask: This whiskey pairs well with briny, coastal seafood

BBQ Beef Brisket and Pork Ribs Served with Molasses & Alberta Rye BBQ Sauce

Alberta Rye Dark Batch: Pairing a Canadian Whiskey with raditionatl southern food may sound a bit strange, but this particular whiskey drinks very much like a Bourbon and will compliment anything BBQ-esque.

Desserts

Whiskey infused Eclairs, Whiskey Cake, Whiskey Chocolate dipped Strawberries

Tyrconnell Port Finish: This particular whiskey has a soft, sweet finish to it that compliments nearly any dessert
