Warren Station is excited to introduce a twist on our DISTILLED Spirits & Speaker Series, Tequila and Tacos, a tequila tasting and food pairing event.  What’s that you say?  It’s an intimate (4) tequila sampling paired with (3) tacos from local favorite Mercado La Perla.  Enjoy (4) different El Mayor tequilas and (3) tasty street tacos while experiencing the sounds of live “cantina” music from Jeff Kingery on the Warren Station patio.  Warren Station opens the event with a complementary Paloma or Margarita. The tequila samples will be waiting at your table. The taco bar will be opening shortly after arrival, so come hungry! Our host(s), Graciela Gonzalez & Delia Flores, with El Mayor Tequilas, will discuss each tequila while you enjoy your tacos.

El Mayor’s tradition of tequila craft starts at the roots. That’s why El Mayor is made from only the highest-quality Weber Blue Agave plants, sweet succulents that thrive in the rocky lowlands of Jalisco. At about 7,500 feet above sea level, its mineral-rich sandy soil produces the juiciest plants, giving you a taste as warm as Jalisco.

El Mayor BlancoSome say a distillery is only as good as its Blanco. That’s because, without the influence of the barrel, the flavor of Blanco tequila has the purest expression of the natural flavors of the agave itself. El Mayor 100% Blue Agave Blanco tequila delivers a crisp, light-body, with a hint of pepper and a bevy of accolades to match.

El Mayor Reposado– El Mayor Reposado is rested in white oak barrels for a minimum of 9 months. This gives the tequila an elegantly structured,  balanced taste with a remarkably smooth finish.

El Mayor AnejoDesigned for slow, contemplative sipping, our 100% Blue Agave Añejo tequila is aged in white oak barrels for 18 to 36 months to provide a sophisticatedly smooth product.

El Mayor Rum Cask Finish Extra Anejo– Aged in bourbon barrels for three years and finished in Agricole Rum Casks, this limited-edition extra Añejo boasts an exquisite golden amber color and a rich flavor profile.

September 11th: Whiskey and Woodworking

A new addition to the Distilled Series, Whiskey and Woodworking, is an interactive experience with a variety of woodworking craft projects (for adults!) and Colorado bourbon samples. Warren Station partners with The Frosted Flamingo mobile art studio. One can burn, etch, paint, or string your favorite design with these project choices.  All the projects offered will make unique gifts or a Colorado souvenir of a memorable night at Keystone Resort.  The ticket price includes (3) samples of bourbon, and (1) project per person.

Image of Tin Cup, Stranahans and Deerhammer WhiskeyStranahan’s Blue Peak Single Malt –  A single malt whiskey that marries tradition with innovation. Blue Peak is an American single malt distilled at high altitude, aged in new American oak barrels, and Solera finished, a maturation process typically used in wine, resulting in a rich and mellow whiskey. Distilled in Denver, Colorado.

Deerhammer Straight Bourbon 4 Grain – Unique, 4 Colorado grains being used in their Bourbon recipe. Made right down the road in Buena Vista, Colorado.

Tin Cup Original – a blend of two great American whiskeys, each aged in #3 charred oak barrels. “High rye” bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, is blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt whiskey. These whiskeys are then cut with Rocky Mountain water. Founded in beautiful Woody Creek, Colorado.

Our speaker for the evening will be a “Craft-Cocktail Bartender,” and will be showing us how to create (3 ) delicious whiskey drinks, which will also be on special at the bar. Recipe cards will be provided so you can make your own “Craft Cocktail” at home.

A delicious last-minute addition to this event is warmed Bavarian pretzels with cheese sauce or mustard will also be provided at no additional charge.  No worries about drinking on an empty stomach, we have you covered.

Additional projects will also be for sale in case you want more than one gift to take home. Come out for a night of spirited, hands-on FUN, and continue to make the Distilled Series at Warren Station a success!
