POSTPONED-Distilled: Whiskey on the Fly

June 11 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$30 – $35

The Event:

Warren Station and Cutthroat Anglers are excited to present Distilled Spirits & Speakers Series: Whiskey on the Fly. Join us to learn how to tie your own fly fishing flies; and because whiskey and rivers go hand in hand we have added a TINCUP sampling as well. The guides from Cutthroat will show everyone how to tie a basic fly, while also telling a tale or two from Colorado’s fishing history.

The Speaker:

The Night’s whiskey ambassador, Channing Dial, will share the TINCUP story and you will sample (3) products from the TINCUP collection. TINCUP has 3 distinct whiskeys, the American Whiskey, 10 year, and TINCUP Rye. Get ready to try them all.

Complimentary Bavarian pretzels will be provided throughout the night. Come grab some fly fishing swag and select raffle prizes up for grabs, including a TINCUP Fly Fishing Rod. A fly tie kit, pretzels, and (3) whiskey samples, and raffle ticket are included with each entry.

Must be 21 years in age or older to attend.

The Whiskey Sampling:

TINCUP, TINCUP 10, TINCUP® Rye

TINCUP is a blend of two great American whiskeys, each aged in #3 charred oak barrels. “High rye” bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, is blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt whiskey. These whiskeys are then cut with Rocky Mountain water. TINCUP is named for the Colorado mining pioneers and the tin cups from which they drank their whiskey.

TINCUP 10 Only a few climb the mountain. Fewer still have the will to stay. Introducing TINCUP® 10, a newly released expression that marries the bold, pure, untamed flavor of TINCUP® with a full decade of oak barrel aging.

TINCUP® Rye has been crafted to celebrate the original rye recipes enjoyed by settlers and miners of Tin Cup, Colorado, with a taste that matches the bold spice and spirit of the Old West.

Cutthroat Anglers Story:

Cutthroat Anglers is the premier fly-fishing shop and guide service in the state. Based in Silverthorne, Colorado, their shop has been a staple in Summit County for more than two decades. When legendary fisherman Trapper Rudd first opened our doors on the banks of the Blue River in 1999, fly fishing enthusiasts and guides gathered to what they called “The Clubhouse.” They frequently gathered around the wooden table in the back of our shop — wet waders and all — to swap fishing secrets, stories and (undoubtedly) a tall tale or two.

While in many ways that legacy remains true today, we are now proud to be a place where beginners can congregate just as confidently as the seasoned pros. Even if you’ve never held a fly rod in your life, we invite you to come visit us. Click here to learn more about the shop.
