Thanksgiving – a holiday where family comes together to enjoy each other’s company and give thanks. Thanksgiving is also an excellent time to take a vacation to the mountains and make new holiday traditions and memories.
Here at Keystone Resort, we have the perfect setting for a great Thanksgiving away from home. Instead of stressing over what to do for the holiday, here is your guide to a perfect family friendly Thanksgiving in the mountains.
Eat a delicious Thanksgiving feast…or two!
Cook turkey at the condo or let one of the River Run Village Restaurants take care of the cooking. Be sure to spend time with the family around the dinner table over the holiday. Looking for a unique dining experience, that is fun for the entire family? Go dashing through the snow on a dinner sleigh ride or cozy up on two gondola rides to a cheese and chocolate fondue heaven!
Get up on the hill!
Keystone is open for the season so come take a few runs before the big feast and earn that extra helping of gravy. Take a lesson with the entire family at Keystone Ski and Ride School. Want to have the longest ski day in Colorado? Here at Keystone you can enjoy night skiing or ice skating under the stars.
Tip: Put the turkey in the oven and ski or ride on Thanksgiving Day to earn that extra helping of mashed potatoes – you’re likely to have the mountain to yourself!
Celebrate the sparkle of the holidays at Warren Station and River Run Village!
The Welcome Winter Family Carnival and The Lighting of River Run Village at Keystone takes place on Saturday, November 30th from 3pm-7pm. Cocoa and kettle corn, facepainting and fireworks add to the wonder of this night where winter is king. River Run will sparkle with holiday cheer and Warren Station will have bluegrass tunes for all to hear. The events are all free and there’s even a parade so bring the whole family for a night of magic and don’t forget the fireworks at 7pm!
Enjoy free family fun Kidtopia activities every day of the week!
Keystone is the ultimate playground for family fun and adventure. Visit Kidtopia Headquarters in the River Run Village for a break from the slopes or check out one of the many special activities going on each afternoon from Family Game Night to Fireside Cocoa and Coloring…there is something for all ages.
Who knows? You just might want to make Keystone Resort, your new Thanksgiving tradition!
