A GUIDE TO THANKSGIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS AT KEYSTONE, CO!

A GUIDE TO THANKSGIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS AT KEYSTONE, CO!

Thanksgiving – a holiday where family comes together to enjoy each other’s company and give thanks.  Thanksgiving is also an excellent time to take a vacation to the mountains and make new holiday traditions and memories.

Here at Keystone Resort, we have the perfect setting for a great Thanksgiving away from home. Instead of stressing over what to do for the holiday, here is your guide to a perfect family friendly Thanksgiving in the mountains.

Eat a delicious Thanksgiving feast…or two!

Cook turkey at the condo or let one of the River Run Village Restaurants take care of the cooking. Be sure to spend time with the family around the dinner table over the holiday. Looking for a unique dining experience? Step back in time in the cozy confines of the Ski Tip Lodge. Once an 1800’s stage coach stop and then a home to the Keystone Founder, today the Lodge is one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the country. Also historic, the Keystone Ranch serves up amazing food with a rustic feel. Enjoy dessert next to the fireplace to end the perfect evening!

Get up on the hill!

Keystone is open for the season so come take a few runs before the big feast and earn that extra helping of gravy. Take a lesson with the entire family at Keystone Ski and Ride School.  Want to have the longest ski day in Colorado? Here at Keystone you can enjoy night skiing or ice skating under the stars.

As a reminder this year, you must make a ski reservation prior to your ski day. As a pass holder, you receive 7 priority days to book starting November 6th. We recommend booking your Thanksgiving ski days as soon as the reservations opens to secure your days on the hill.

Tip: Put the turkey in the oven and ski or ride on Thanksgiving Day to earn that extra helping of mashed potatoes – you’re likely to have the mountain to yourself!

The River Run Holiday Tree lights up the village as onlookers celebrate the holiday season

Celebrate the sparkle of the holidays at Warren Station and River Run Village!

Ornament Painting Kit Pick Up at Warren Station takes place on Saturday, November 28th from 4pm-6pm and The The Lights of River Run Village will be up all holiday season! We look forward to bringing the holiday spirit to Keystone this year despite things looking a little different. Everyone is a part of the lighting this year, as guests are encouraged to decorate their balconies and kids write letters to Santa with their Christmas wishes. Stroll through River Run Village with your family and friends to find holiday fun throughout the village. Continue the holiday spirit in the comfort of your home or condo with an ornament painting kit from Warren Station and Ready, Paint, Fire. It will be a night of magic, lights and family fun at Keystone Resort!

This year it is all about safety and reimagining the on-mountain experience!

As we all know, this ski and ride season is a lot different then years past. Here at Keystone Resort safety is our #1 priority for the season. To keep everyone safe there are a couple guidelines to follow like wear a face covering, physically distance from other parties, use cashless transactions and more! Visit our How to Plan for Your Winter Season during COVID to make sure you are in the know about reservations and safety precautions, prior to coming to the resort.

Who knows? You just might want to make Keystone Resort, your new Thanksgiving tradition!
