The Blizzard of Aahhh’s

GET STOKED WINTER FILM SERIES CONTINUES WITH THE BLIZZARD OF AAHHH’S

Warren Station Hosts Throwback Movie to Benefit Local Ski Groups

Warren Station at Keystone, CO.- October 27, 2015:  Follow the snowy brick road to Warren Station in River Run at Keystone on Saturday, November 14th.  “Take Two” of the Get Stoked Winter Film Series will wow audiences with Greg Stump Production’s, The Blizzard of AAHHH’S to benefit Team Breckenridge Sports Club and Team Summit Colorado.  Remember three-time world hot dog champion, Glen Plake, skiing 98 miles per hour?  The film has stood the test of time and spotlights the original “ski heroes” with neon pioneers like Plake, Greg Stump, Mike Hattrup and Scot Schmidt.  Dress in your best 80’s mountain gear and relive the legendary Rockumentary put extreme skiing on the map.

The Warren Station Team notes that, “The Blizzard of Aahh’s was the first of its kind; a cult classic that tapped our veins when ‘extreme’ and epic, vertical skiing was just making its mark.  Featuring some of the most delectably, nostalgic destinations in the world like Chamonix and Squaw Valley, the rookies and soon-to-be stars of the film seemed untouchable.   Still, Stump painted a hypnotic picture and made you feel like, yes, I can do that!  Wham-bam.  We were hooked.  We fell in love with snow, the on-screen adrenaline and the steeps.  And the soundtrack is, ‘like, totally awesome’.  We want to resurrect that era, (in our best 80’s gear of course), and help our two, local ski groups raise dollars for their youth programs.  It’s also an incredible testament to the Summit County snow sports world, that Team Breck Sports and Team Summit can come together and back each other on their missions in such a creative way.”

Pizza slices on the patio from Pizza on the Run, a complimentary New Belgium Beer for ticketholders over the age of 21, the Epic Mix Photo Booth with free pics and big giveaway prizes including concert, festival and lift tickets and Team Summit SKI BALL Passes, (valued at $175.00 each), are just part of the mix. The evening will offer two showings at 5:30pm and 8:00pm with doors opening thirty minutes before each film.  Tickets are available online and are a “Get Stoked” price at $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for ages six to twenty and free for ages five and under per show.  Reservations are highly recommended.  General admission seating. Reservations are highly recommended. Tickets, if available at the door, will be $14.00 for adults, $10.00 for ages six to twenty, while five and under will receive free admission.  Proceeds from ticket sales will be divided between Team Breckenridge Sports and Team Summit Colorado.
