Based on recommendations from Summit County Public Health, the Keystone Neighbourhood Company will postpone all events that have anticipated attendance of 50 or more people, through at least May 1. This action will take effect immediately. Whenever possible the Keystone Neighbourhood Company will work to reschedule the event for a later date. Maja Russer, Director of Events and Marketing states, “in our commitment to drive visitation and commerce for Keystone and the surrounding Summit County, we will work to reschedule all existing events on our calendar for a time when we feel it’s appropriate to do so”.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists social distancing as a critical way for individuals to protect themselves and vulnerable members of the community from COVID-19. Individuals should avoid contact with people who are sick. This is especially important for individuals over 60 and those who have serious underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, lung disease, heart disease and cancer. These at-risk populations should also avoid crowds.
This announcement follows the news of the Keystone Neighbourhood Company cancelling their Rocky Mountain Country Fest slotted for March 13 and 14 in Warren Station Center for the Arts, due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials.
