A TASTE OF WINTER BLUEGRASS WEEKEND

Winter Bluegrass Weekend is back! Celebrating its 10th year, Warren Station will be rocking for two nights with an amazing lineup featuring some of Colorado’s most talented string bands.

Friday, March 11th: Winter Bluegrass Weekend, Night 1

Brandywine and the Mighty Fines

Winter Bluegrass Weekend kicks off with a lively cross between honky-tonk inspired bluegrass “tonkgrass” and sentimental Americana. Brandywine and the Mighty Fines connects to audiences through thoughtful songwriting and clever mashups. Playing a mix of originals and classics, the Mighty Fines will have you shuffling your feet and daydreaming of other times and places. Born out of small-town America and coming together through the Foothills this band charms listeners with their authentic presence and vocal-driven bluegrass.

Elle Michelle’s Grateful Holler

A Colorado-based bluegrass band playing old-time, tradition/progressive bluegrass, and Grateful Dead bluegrass covers.
They bring a high energy, lots of love, and tons of entertainment to the bluegrass and Grateful Dead community!

Saturday, March 12th: Winter Bluegrass Weekend, Night 2

Deer Creek Sharpshooters

Winter Bluegrass Weekend night two kicks off with The Deer Creek Sharpshooters. They came together with a common love for bluegrass and a dream to push acoustic music limits. The Deer Creek Sharpshooters are inspired by artists ranging from Del McCoury and Yonder Mountain String Band to John Coltrane. They are traditionally-minded while keeping a strong sense of musical innovation. The Sharpshooters put on high-energy shows, jumping quickly from bluegrass to goofy songs about cats. Put your romp stomping boots on and be ready to party when these guys take the stage!

Groundscore

Formed through a combination of campsite pickin’ and Craigslist ads.  Based in the front range you’ll find Groundscore playing bluegrass thru the Colorado mountains. Although steeped in traditional bluegrass, their genre is loose enough to throw you from a Hoedown straight into a Hootenanny. Keep your pockets empty folks, ‘cause you never know what you’ll “ground score” when these four hit the stage!

High Country Hustle

Finally, A bluegrass alliance that was was born in 2017 in the San Juans. Durango’s own High Country Hustle brings big smiles and foot-stomping good times to venues across the Rocky Mountains. The band is composed of four musicians who formed friendships over bluegrass, beers, and the beauty of Southwest Colorado. They started this band because of their love of traditional Bluegrass and Modern Jam Music.  HCH blends its unique musical personalities with melody-driven bluegrass to create a memorable experience. In the past few years, HCH has gone from playing small bar settings to packed out crowds in Denver and Boulder at venues like Cervantes, The Mishawaka,  and finally The Fox Theatre. In early 2020 HCH was the WinterWonderGrass – Band Contest Winner.

Warren Station’s Winter Bluegrass Weekend takes place on March 11th and 12th. There will also be whiskey tastings! Don’t forget to get yourself a two-day ticket before they are gone!
